Our special-edition vest is a heavyweight classic with woven-in detailed wildlife graphics. The all-natural blanket-weight fabric is a blend of 91% wool and 9% cotton. Crafted on jacquard looms, this exceptionally dense fabric is warm, durable, and weather resistant.
Wool has been the fabric of choice in the outdoors for centuries due to its ability to insulate even when it gets wet. Wool’s naturally complex fibers wick away moisture for evaporation and it can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water without feeling damp or clammy. No other fabric protects in a wider range of weather conditions, and Filson wool is the finest example.
